Office Manager - Bristol

Are you a confident, proactive leader with a knack for keeping things running like clockwork? We're looking for an experienced Office Manager to take the reins of this busy legal practice.

What You'll Be Doing

As Office Manager, you'll be the operational heartbeat of the firm supporting the Directors lead a happy and high-performing team, and keep their offices efficient, compliant, and client-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of staff
  • Line manage the admin team
  • Oversee appraisals, holidays, and absence management
  • Foster strong communication between Directors and staff
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and Lexcel standards
  • Manage contracts, complaints, and board meetings
  • Support the COLP and COFA with audits and supervision
  • Oversee IT projects and liaise with consultants
  • Ensure GDPR and IT protocols are followed
  • Monitor cash flow and payroll
  • Liaise with accountants and authorise payments
  • Support financial audits and reporting
  • Manage office buildings, equipment, and suppliers
  • Ensure health & safety compliance and security
  • Lead on equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives


Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in office and personnel management (legal sector preferred)
  • Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
  • Confident with numbers, compliance, and Microsoft Office
  • A calm, assertive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of SRA rules, legal aid audits, or case management systems would be an advantage
