The job
The Software Developer in Test will work with the Product Owner, Stakeholders and the Scrum Team to understand the test requirements for the SaaS Solution and define and implement the best suitable test automation framework. You will make sure that best practices have been followed in framework and scripts creation, ensure that your code is fully reviewed, tested and documented with the agreed quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- You will work with the Product Owner, Stakeholders and the Scrum Team to understand the test requirements for the SaaS Solution, define and implement the best suitable test automation framework.
- Make sure that best practices have been followed in framework and scripts creation, ensure that your code is fully reviewed, tested and documented with the agreed quality standards.
- Participate in Scrum meetings with other team members including sprint planning and estimating; backlog refinement; daily Scrum meetings; sprint retrospectives and sprint reviews.
- Provide a demo of the automation progress highlighting the achievements and challenges faced during the implementation in the Sprint Reviews.
Ideal Experience
From most to least important
- Proven experience as an individual contributor working in agile scrums, object-oriented programming and product testing environment.
- Good programming, troubleshooting and debugging skills in C#/Java
- Strong knowledge on API testing via automation
- Should have experience in using source Control tools like GIT/ClearCase/Bitbucket
- Cloud Platform knowledge is beneficial. Ex. AWS, Azure
- Knowledge of testing Microservice/Service Oriented Architectures
- CI/CD Tools and Processes in Azure DevOps
- Exceptional communication skills, working with a broad range of people, including Product Owners, Testers & Product Support across sites.
- Able to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Positive approach to problem solving with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Experience of using Agile methodologies
- Good to have hands on Performance testing, load, Interface/integration testing, stress, soak, and security.
