A large educational agency is seeking a Secondary Mainstream Teaching Assistant in South Normanton. This role involves supporting students, particularly in an Alternative Provision setting, with a focus on strong behavior management. Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting pupils in mainstream or SEN settings.
  • Willingness to provide personal care.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in the classroom and promote positive behavior.
  • Assist teachers with curriculum and classroom management.
  • Work full time Monday to Friday, from 8:20 AM to 3:15 PM.

About the role

Connex Education is working with a Secondary Academy, who is part of a larger trust which has schools across Lincolnshire which needs support with their long term supply needs in their Alternative Provision

About the school

The school itself has a good Ofsted rating, the school also has great modern facilities on a big campus. With having its own alternative provision on site this gives great support to all pupils, as stated above the school is part of a larger trust that has schools across the whole of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire

Assignment details

The Role will start in January when once cleared for work, the role is for either supply or with a view to permanent employment by the school. The school is looking for full time staff to work Monday to Friday within the hours of 8.20 until 3.15. The school is looking for people with strong behaviour management and a bubbly personality
