A leading residential development organization is seeking a Group Design Manager in Bristol to manage design standards across residential projects. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes. Candidates should have experience in residential design, a relevant degree, and strong technical knowledge of building regulations. The position offers a full-time, permanent role with travel requirements, closing date for applications is September 30.
Bromford Flagship is looking for a group design manager to set, lead and maintain the design standards used across our residential development projects. This central role supports our regional teams, championing great design and placemaking while ensuring our design standards and standard house types are applied consistently to enable planning and delivery success.
You'll manage our design standards and standard house type range, achieve NHBC type approvals, and develop and maintain technical specifications that meet current and emerging standards. You will provide technical solutions and support to regional teams throughout the construction process, ensuring that design issues are addressed efficiently, within programme, and on budget.
The role involves regular collaboration with suppliers, consultants, building control, and in-house project teams. You'll also horizon scan for market trends, emerging materials, and regulatory changes to ensure our developments remain at the forefront of quality, efficiency, and compliance. Acting as a visible advocate for Bromford Flagships design standards, you will ensure that all stakeholders can effectively use and apply the information provided.
This role is permanent and full time. You can be based from any of our main offices in Chipping Sodbury, Tewkesbury, Wolverhampton, London or Norfolk with some travel required.
