Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Bakery section, working at the sharp end of fresh produce, under pressure and with precision. We're seeking passionate individuals with a love for food that strive for perfection every day.

You’ll be a hands‑on, sleeves‑up brand ambassador bringing energy and attention to detail to every shift - delivering hot bread, fresh perspectives, and fast, five‑star service to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points.
  • Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring shelves are always stocked with product.
  • Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service throughout their visit.
  • Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services.
  • Use digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer every time.
  • Maintain food quality and safety with early rise, speed and hard work.
  • Manage demand, keep shelves full and customers impressed.
  • Balance speed with safety to ensure freshness and availability during peak hours.
  • Work closely with others as a team player, maintaining fast, high‑quality output.
  • Adapt to the store rhythm, work across different roles, and embrace each shift with determination.
