A public regulatory body is seeking a procurement professional to lead their Commercial Team in driving compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. You'll manage the entire commercial lifecycle, ensuring compliance while delivering value and sustainability. Essential criteria include experience in procurement or commercial roles and stakeholder engagement skills. This role offers a salary of £42,000 plus benefits and a commitment to professional development.
You will be part of a small but influential Commercial Team, working across a range of business areas within the Gambling Commission. Your role will shape and advise on compliant commercial solutions, lead procurement activity, and drive value for money. You’ll also play a key part in helping the Commission move towards full alignment with the Government Functional Standard for Commercial.
This is a pivotal time for public procurement. Your expertise will ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and the National Procurement Policy Statement, while helping us leverage these changes to deliver ethical, sustainable, and commercially sound outcomes.
The team:
The Commercial Team manage contracts for the Commission across the whole of the contract lifecycle, from pre-procurement through procurement contract transition to contract management and contract exit. We are a small, high performing team with significant exposure to stakeholders and the opportunity to engage in commercial transformation.

Alongside your salary of £42,000, Gambling Commission contributes £12,167 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
