A healthcare provider in southwest London seeks an individual to track and manage the cancer referral and treatment process, ensuring prompt diagnostics and treatment for patients. The role requires collaboration with various healthcare professionals to maintain accurate records and produce reports. Applicants should have experience in data management and possess strong attention to detail. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday, between 08:00 am and 05:00 pm.
This role focuses on tracking and managing the referral and treatment process for cancer patients, ensuring that those referred under the Suspected Cancer Pathway are diagnosed promptly and that newly diagnosed patients begin treatment within national timescales- Cancer Guidelines V12.1. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate tracking systems and producing weekly reports to monitor patient progress. They will also liaise with MDT Navigators across SWL network to ensure that patients requiring treatment are flagged and treated accordingly.
In addition to referral and treatment tracking, the MDTC are expected to be involved in capturing and updating patient information in Trust databases, ensuring all relevant details are recorded and up-to-date. The role requires collaboration with the Senior MDT co‑ordinators to develop and monitor national and local datasets, including tracking waiting times for newly diagnosed cancer patients. Timely reporting on these metrics is essential to ensure all patients are receiving care in a timely manner.
This post is for Monday‑Friday between 08:00am and 17:00pm on a rota basis. Flexible working cannot be considered for this role.
