A leading patient transport service provider in Crewe is seeking a Courier Driver to contribute to the safe transportation of goods. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to drive various vehicle types. Responsibilities include planning routes, ensuring the safety of items, and maintaining contact with the operations office. Candidates must hold a Full UK Driving Licence for at least 12 months. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Courier Driver to join our team based in Crewe.
The post is a 38-hour position working from 10:00-16:15 Mon & Tues, 09:30-18:00 Weds, Thurs & Fri.
The main purpose of the courier driver role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods and equipment.
The role will require excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards. Using electronic and paper-based forms of recording tasks and items delivered and collected, making sure that all courier tasks are carried out correctly and to scheduled times. The role may involve heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods, using a tail lift and loading/unloading and moving of roll cages.
The role will be driving vehicles from small vans up to 3.5 tonne Luton vans, which can be driven on the category B part of the UK Manual driving licence.
You must have held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points.
