A leading patient transport organization in Norwich is seeking a weekend Courier Driver to ensure the safe movement of goods and diagnostic samples. Candidates should hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence and have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. The role also involves planning routes, maintaining vehicle checks, and thorough documentation. We have a fantastic opportunity for a weekend Courier Driver to join our team based in Norwich and Kings Lynn contract due to continued growth. Contract: Perm/part time - Saturday and Sunday 08:00 - 16:00 (16 hours).
The main purpose of the courier driver role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods, pharmacy and diagnostic samples for test between Hospital sites in the Norwich, Norfolk areas. The role requires excellent communication with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards. You will record tasks and items delivered and collected using electronic and paper-based forms, and ensure courier tasks are carried out correctly and to schedule. The role may involve heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods, using a tail lift and loading/unloading and moving of roll cages. The role will involve driving vehicles from small vans up to 3.5 tonne Luton vans, which can be driven on the category B part of the UK driving licence.
You must have held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points.
