A recruitment firm is seeking a Head of Capital Markets for a leading renewable energy company in Madrid. The role involves leading financing strategies, managing complex debt instruments, and collaborating with financial stakeholders. Ideal candidates will possess over 8 years of experience in structured finance, particularly within the renewable energy sector, and be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in structured finance (corporate/project finance).
- Proven track record in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience with international transactions (Iberia and Italy is a plus).
Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s financing and refinancing strategy.
- Report directly to the CFO and collaborate with financial stakeholders.
- Manage debt portfolios across multiple SPVs and jurisdictions.

Lead the company’s financing and refinancing strategy, structuring complex debt instruments and managing a multi-jurisdictional debt portfolio.
Report directly to the CFO and collaborate with funds, banks, and legal advisors to drive sustainable growth.
Lead and execute financing and refinancing transactions (senior and junior debt).
Structure financial instruments and negotiate with multilateral banks, investment funds, and financial institutions.
Manage debt portfolios across multiple SPVs and jurisdictions.
Oversee covenant compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory alignment.
Support M&A processes: divestment of non-performing assets and acquisitions in Italy.
Plus 8 years of experience in structured finance (corporate/project finance).
Proven track record in the renewable energy sector.
Experience with international transactions (Iberia and Italy highly valued).
Strategic mindset and leadership capabilities.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
