Overview
Software Engineering Manager – We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead two highly strategic engineering teams based in Alicante.
Two teams:
A Business Intelligence (BI) team developing and operating Omada Identity Analytics, leveraging Sisense
An AI / ML team responsible for Omada s agentic AI Platform driving applied AI innovation across our Identity Governance platform.
Responsibilities
Act as a credible technical sparring partner for senior engineers and architects – you must be able to challenge assumptions, spot risks, and engage meaningfully in architectural discussions
Drive engineering best practices across quality, security, observability, and CI / CD
Identify and address overengineering, technical rabbit holes, and delivery blockers early
Champion agentic development practices within both teams, ensuring engineers actively evaluate whether work should be implemented directly or delegated to AI agents
Drive measurable productivity gains from AI tooling, targeting cycle time reductions through golden paths and self-service capabilities in collaboration with the Product Owner
Own end-to-end delivery of Omada Identity Analytics and Javi (AI Assistant), including quality outcomes, incident response, and release predictability
Communicate delivery risks proactively and early
Ensure teams meet commitments on quarterly planning, estimation, and organizational processes
Drive incident responsiveness with appropriate urgency for customer-facing issues, ensuring incident response SLAs are consistently met
Manage engineering spend within agreed budgets, ensuring cost-efficient use of cloud resources, travel, and training with proactive escalation of risks or forecast overruns
Lead, coach, and develop two cross-functional engineering teams
Build trust with experienced engineers by demonstrating technical credibility and giving them appropriate autonomy
Navigate the dynamics of managing a team that includes a tenured Principal Developer with deep institutional knowledge
Maintain high team engagement and voluntary attrition well below 10
Ensure all engineers have documented growth plans and complete a minimum of 40 hours of professional development annually, with emphasis on AI and future-skills upskilling
Actively manage workload sustainability and PTO usage to prevent burnout
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management
Foster collaboration between the BI and AI / ML teams while respecting their different technical profiles
Drive roadmap execution in close partnership with Product Management and Architecture
Contribute to strategic decisions on analytics, data platforms, and AI adoption
Build relationships across Product, Operations, and Service Delivery
Ensure proactive, transparent communication with all stakeholders
