Role Overview

The operation engineer plays a vital role in maintaining and operating simulators, interfacing with customers, instructors, plant operators, and inspectors, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The role combines simulation technology knowledge with plant operation expertise.

Candidate Profile

We seek an engineer with at least 5 years of experience operating nuclear power plants, capable of conducting operational tests on simulators, diagnosing situations, and specifying work orders. The candidate should possess strong decision-making skills, teamwork, leadership, and a focus on delivering high-quality service.

Location & Projects

Position based in Madrid, working with a team of operation engineers on projects related to the development, maintenance, and modernization of nuclear simulators across Europe and LATAM.

Main Responsibilities
  • Specify modifications based on operating discrepancies reported by customers.
  • Design and execute acceptance tests for simulator changes.
  • Perform periodic testing for simulator certification maintenance.
  • Support training schools with testing and validation of training scenarios.
  • Participate in audits and inspections of simulators.
  • Conduct engineering analyses related to plant design modifications.
  • Validate changes to plant operating procedures.
  • Provide simulator training for end users.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience in operation and PWR technology, with training plans for certification.
  • English proficiency C1; Spanish B2; French B2 or C1 preferred.
  • Experience in training, simulation, engineering support, or plant operation support.
  • Availability for short-term travel.
  • Driver's license.
