Course: MSL2335H - The Digital Museum: From Strategy to Implementation
Digital technologies present exciting opportunities for interaction with museum objects, creating new paths of meaning and engaging new audiences. This course explores the role of emerging digital technologies in the contemporary museum experience, aiming to equip students with knowledge and skills to navigate digital opportunities and challenges. Topics include digital strategy, project management, content creation, and responsible digital adoption, with practical components such as collaborative prototyping with the Ontario Science Centre. The course includes readings, case studies, technical tutorials, and guest speakers.
Sessional dates: January 1, 2026 - April 30, 2026
Note: Salary rates may vary according to the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.
Candidates should have a completed or nearly completed PhD in a relevant field, or a Master’s degree with extensive professional experience. Teaching experience is preferred.
