A major health care provider in New Westminster, B.C. is looking for a dedicated Post Anesthetic Care Nurse to join their team. This role entails providing specialized care for patients recovering from anesthesia, conducting assessments, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates must have a nursing degree, active registration with the region's nursing college, and relevant clinical experience. The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42 - $59.52 / hour

Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse with a passion for patient care? Do you thrive in fast‑paced environments and have a keen eye for detail? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! As a Post Anesthetic Care Nurse (PACU) recovery room nurse you will specialize in providing care for patients who are recovering from anesthesia after surgery or other medical procedures.
In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) provides direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role includes assessment, planning, delivering, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). One year recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area and completion of postgraduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
