A healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in Grande Prairie to provide leadership and nursing services in a dynamic psychiatry program. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non‑pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), you will provide leadership through a wide variety of nursing services to patients (clients, residents) for the purpose of promoting, maintaining or restoring health, mental health and preventing mental illness, injury and disability. You will teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and take necessary steps to ensure their safety and well‑being. You will provide safe, quality, patient‑ and family‑centered care, while reflecting shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 − $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Psychiatric Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.

Connect Care experience is an asset. Experience in inpatient psychiatry or other addictions and mental health is an asset. Working with youth adult or geriatric populations is an asset.
