Business Analyst / Application Support Specialist – D365 Finance & Operations (Accounting)
Job summary
A leading consulting firm in Montreal is seeking a Business Analyst/Application Support Specialist with expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The candidate will provide application support, manage Finance-related issues, and collaborate on projects to enhance financial processes. Strong accounting knowledge and customer service orientation are essential. This position offers a mix of on-site work, fostering collaboration with IT and Finance teams.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Information Systems required.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Application Support Specialist.
- Comfortable working in live/production environments.

- Provide functional support for D365 F&O Finance modules.
- Manage and resolve Finance-related tickets in a production environment.
- Support Finance Solution Architect on D365 F&O projects.

We are looking for a Business Analyst / Application Support Specialist with strong expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Finance modules) to join our team. This role will support the Finance Solution Architect on project-related activities while also providing day-to-day application support to live business units using D365 F&O.
- Application Support & Operations
- Provide functional support for D365 F&O Finance modules, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (A/P)
- Accounts Receivable (A/R)
- Fixed Assets
- Leases
- Month-End and Period-End Closings
- Manage, analyze, and resolve Finance-related tickets in a production environment
- Perform root-cause analysis and propose sustainable solutions
- Deliver high-quality support with a strong customer service mindset
- Document issues, resolutions, and functional procedures
- Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support the Finance Solution Architect on D365 F&O projects (enhancements, rollouts, optimizations)
- Gather and analyze Finance business requirements
- Write functional specifications and support testing activities (UAT)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Finance processes within D365 F&O
- Comfortable working in live/production environments and ticketing tools
Work Mode: 3 days on site at Saint-Laurent
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Information Systems
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Finance ERP Consultant, or Application Support Specialist
- Experience in international or multi-entity environments is a plus
- Functional Expertise: Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting processes; Solid understanding of IFRS standards; Proven experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations – Finance modules; Good understanding of financial closing cycles
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Experience in ERP application support (Finance-focused); Ability to analyze issues, configurations, and data within D365 F&O
- Strong customer service orientation
- Highly detail-oriented and analytical
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with Finance and IT teams
