ABOUT THE ROLE :

The Management and Organizational Studies (MOS) department at Huron University seeks applications for a probationary tenure-track position in Organizational Behaviour, starting July 1, 2025. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor for a three-year probationary period.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant business terminal degree (PhD preferred, or equivalent such as DBA), along with graduate degrees or professional designations (e.g., CHRP, MA, MSc, MBA). Specialization in organizational behaviour, human resources, or related fields, along with teaching experience at a leading university and demonstrated research quality, is required. Practical management experience in the private sector applying theoretical knowledge is highly valued.

The successful candidate should demonstrate expertise in organizational behaviour, multidisciplinary experience, and the ability to teach undergraduate courses in areas such as Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; human resources; and business-government relations. Contributions to curriculum development, collaboration, experiential learning leadership, industry connections, professional designations, and international experience are considered assets.

The MOS department offers courses in Accounting, Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, Sustainability, and Organizational Studies, Policy, and Ethics. It supports innovative programs like Animal Ethics and Sustainability Leadership, governance, and entrepreneurship, fostering interdisciplinarity and student impact.

Our graduates earn the BMOS degree, which prepares them for professional certifications (CPA, CFA, MBA, JD), further graduate studies, and diverse business careers.

• A letter of application expressing interest in Huron-MOS
• A teaching dossier demonstrating effectiveness in teaching
• A research statement with sample outputs (publications, working papers, etc.)
• A one-page statement on contributions to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and working with diverse and international students
• Three letters of reference
