Job summary
A design engineering firm in Alberta is seeking an individual skilled in electrical layout and drafting. The successful candidate will use AutoCAD for creating detailed electrical drawings, maintain project documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant design codes. This role requires a proactive approach to work with project personnel and assist with ongoing design tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience with electrical layout and single line drawings.
- Ability to prepare and develop M&E drawings.
- Familiarity with design codes and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for electrical layout and single line drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare and develop all necessary M&E drawings.
- Work with project personnel to visualize and position drawings.
- Maintain filing systems and update drawings in soft and hard copies.
- Ensure design drawings meet compliance requirements.
- Assist in project administration and documentation.
- Perform ad-hoc drawing duties as assigned.
Tools
- Responsible for electrical layout and single line drawings using AutoCAD
- Prepare and develop M&E drawings (proposed layout/ details/ shop drawing/ as-built)
- Work with project personnel on instructions, pre-established guidelines and comments, and visualize and position them onto drawings
- Maintains and adheres to filing systems, keeps and updates drawings and registers them in both soft and hard copies
- Design layout and detailed drafting as well as ensure that design drawings meet relevant code and compliance requirements for good engineering practices in Singapore
- Assist in administration and documentation of projects
- Performing ad-hoc drawing duties as assigned by superiors
