ABOUT THE ROLE
The Logistics Coordinator manages daily customer interactions for cement orders, coordinating with sales, operations, and trucking partners to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Strong communication with contract haulers is essential to meet industry standards.
This full-time, customer-facing role involves administrative support for billing and invoicing, and demands a service-oriented, professional approach. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at problem-solving, and seek efficiency.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: College Diploma or University Degree
- Field of Study Preferred: Business, Finance, or Engineering
- Required Work Experience: Prior experience in a customer-service role, preferably in construction materials, logistics, or manufacturing
- Required Technical Skills: MS Office, Google Suite, SAP, Salesforce
- Travel Requirements: 5%
Additional Requirements:
- Willing and able to work a Wednesday–Sunday shift and respond to calls after hours as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional, customer-focused demeanor
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Time and self-management skills, including being self-directed, effective realization of current priorities associated with answering customer calls, scheduling call backs while being able to re-prioritize as requested.
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Strong relationship-building skills with both external customers and internal Lafarge teams.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
