Job Description

The Role:

Medcan is looking for a Maintenance Attendant to join our Facilities team. The role is primarily responsible for routine and preventive maintenance of the premises.

The Accountabilities:

• Perform day-to-day general routine maintenance and preventative maintenance within clinic
• General maintenance to include basic repairs, carpentry, paint, drywall and plumbing
• Complete general project work as assigned by manager
• Assist in the implementation of energy conservation program
• Maintain all clinic areas and ensure clinic is in good working condition
• Coordinate with other staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service to clients as-needed
  
  

The Requirements:

• Ideally a degree or diploma in a related engineering discipline
• Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality/medical industry is preferred
• Strong background in plumbing is an asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to interact with clients, co-workers and third party vendors
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including primarily evening and weekends.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work independently
• Ability to lift or safely move objects up to 75lbs.
  
  

This role is primarily scheduled from Monday to Friday with occasional weekends required as needed.
