A leading hospitality recruitment firm is seeking a Front of House (FOH) leader for a seasonal role in beautiful British Columbia. You will oversee daily operations, manage a team, and ensure guest-first service while enjoying the unique lifestyle the coastal setting offers. This role demands strong leadership skills, a hands-on mentality, and effective communication. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided alongside flexible housing options.
Oversee daily restaurant operations, delivering consistent, guest-first service.
Lead, motivate, and support a seasonal team of 7–30 FOH employees.
Jump in across all FOH positions as needed, especially during winter months.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and ongoing staff compliance with cleaning duties.
Partner closely with the Chef and Assistant Manager to support seamless service and communication.
Manage FOH and bar inventories, ordering, and cost controls.
Create weekly staffing schedules aligned with seasonal business needs.
Support marketing efforts by providing ideas, updates, and details to the social media partner.
Build relationships with local regulars and become a welcomed part of the community.
Keep SOPs updated and relevant (refreshing, not reinventing).
Contribute ideas that improve operations, guest satisfaction, and business growth.
A strong FOH leader with natural presence, confidence, and warmth.
Guest-first mindset with the ability to build lasting guest and community relationships.
High energy, strong communication skills, and a team-first leadership style.
Hands‑on approach and willingness to work the floor, bar, and any FOH role.
Solid business acumen: inventory management, cost awareness, labour planning.
Physically capable — the role includes stairs, carrying, and daily hustle.
Highly organized with strong administrative and computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
Creative thinker with good promotional and community‑engagement ideas.
Values cleanliness, structure, and a well‑run FOH environment.
If you’ve ever dreamed of living and working in a stunning coastal setting, this role delivers the best of island life. High‑energy summers bring lively guests and big business, while winters offer time to recharge, refocus, and connect with the local community. With subsidized housing steps from the water, the chance to lead a motivated hospitality team, and the flexibility to make the operation your own, this is a truly special opportunity for someone who values both adventure and meaningful work.
The restaurant offers more than a job—it offers a lifestyle. As a key leader, you’ll guide a respected Gulf Island establishment through its dynamic seasonal rhythm, with real influence on operations and guest experience. The quieter winter months give space to refine systems, develop ideas, and enjoy the best of island living, while summer brings exciting volume, energy, and opportunity. With competitive compensation, strong benefits, and on‑site housing, this is a compelling opportunity for a hands‑on leader who wants impact, growth, and a unique place to call home.
