Located in the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre, the Administrative Coordinator is an integral part of our team and serves as the primary point of engagement for students, staff, and community members. Beyond administrative duties, the role actively supports student success by fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, facilitating access to resources, and coordinating communications and logistics that enhance the student experience.
Reporting to the Director, Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre, this position balances clerical support, front‑paced student service, and contributions to broader Centre initiatives. The successful candidate will exercise independent judgment within established guidelines to respond to or refer inquiries, while also assisting in the design, delivery, and implementation of strategic planning initiatives.
Work is performed in a fast‑paced environment requiring strong organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Flexibility is essential, as some overtime may be required during peak periods.
The Administrative Coordinator is a key member of the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre team, engaging directly with students and supporting initiatives that contribute to Indigenous student academic experience and success.
Completion of a recognized post‑secondary administrative program diploma is required. A business administration certificate or an undergraduate degree in a related field would be considered an asset. An equivalent level of education and experience may be considered.
