Job summary

A global medical device company is seeking a Junior Contract Analyst in Toronto. This role focuses on managing and maintaining commercial price lists and contract systems while enforcing pricing guidelines. Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced MS Excel proficiency, and relevant educational qualifications. The position requires at least two years of contract experience, preferably in medical manufacturing. A proactive and organized approach is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional office environment.

  • Two to four years of contract experience required, experience in medical manufacturing is a plus.

Job description

The Junior Contract Analyst is responsible for the creation & maintenance of commercial price lists.

  • Enforces established pricing guidelines and generation of Margin Analysis for internal review & approvals
  • Update and maintain the Model N contract system as required (i.e., new, amendments, etc.)
  • Provide data and/or analytics for assigned regions and contracts
  • Communicates price changes, renewals and price list extensions to marketing, field sales and trading partners as appropriate
  • Support incoming Trading Partner & ICU Medical associate contracting requests or questions
  • Manage & Execute Chargeback process with Trading Partners
  • Applies tier changes, membership adds/deletes and address updates
  • Collaborate with accounts receivable department to resolve billing discrepancies pursuant to contractual terms and conditions
  • Review contracts for signature
  • Create price lists and membership lists to include in standard contract templates
  • Collaborate with Membership in tying of accounts to execute commercial contracts
  • Collaborate on relevant project teams and work groups
  • Provide support for process improvement, standardization or strategic initiatives
  • Work on special projects as assigned

  • Ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to gather, understand and evaluate information from various sources; establishes links between sources of data, draws logical conclusions and provides appropriate options, recommendations and wise decisions in a timely manner
  • Knowledge & Experience with Model N
  • Advanced MS Excel required
  • Prior experience with contract management in Medical Device preferred
  • Prior experience working with Third Party Trading Partners & Distributors, in Contract Management, preferred
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Business Administration or a related field of study OR two to four years of contract experience required (experience in medical manufacturing a plus)
  • One office day a week minimum
  • This is largely a sedentary role.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
