About the Role

The Member joining this position will engage with clients across diverse process industries in the UAE to understand their operational requirements and provide tailored steam and thermal energy solutions. The role combines technical expertise with commercial insight, promoting Forbes Marshall’s range of products such as steam traps, condensate recovery systems, hot water generators, and control valves while demonstrating measurable energy savings and operational benefits. The engineer will prepare detailed site visit reports and proposals, maintain an updated industrial database, build strong client relationships, and support business development through regular on-site visits across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement & Needs Analysis: Collaborate with clients across diverse industries including Food & Beverage, Textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Water & Wastewater, Steel, Tyre and Rubber, and Pharma and Formulation, to understand their operational requirements and provide tailored steam and thermal energy solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
  • Industry-Specific Solutions: Advise clients on engineering solutions that optimize their systems and processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Product Promotion & Value Demonstration: Present and demonstrate Forbes Marshall steam products including steam traps, condensate recovery systems, hot water generators, control valves, and steam flow meters highlighting their benefits, energy savings, and value to the customer.
  • Comprehensive Reporting & Proposals: Prepare detailed site visit reports and proposals, recommending best practices, energy-saving measures, and solutions with clear payback benefits.
  • Operational Analysis & Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client operations and update the industrial database to identify opportunities for improved steam system performance.
  • Business Development & Proposal Generation: Develop techno-commercial proposals and collaborate with clients to convert opportunities into successful business outcomes.
  • Client Relationship Building: Build strong client relationships through regular visits, sharing expertise, and supporting their operational goals.
  • Regional Travel & On-Site Support: Travel across the UAE to meet clients and provide on-site support, ensuring consistent engagement and service excellence.
Qualifications
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 2–8 years of experience in process industries, steam/thermal energy systems, or industrial engineering solutions, preferably in a client-facing or sales-engineering role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of steam generation, distribution, condensate recovery, and energy efficiency solutions. Familiarity with steam traps, control valves, flow meters, and heat recovery systems is an advantage.
  • Client Engagement Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients, understand their needs, and provide practical solutions.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to prepare techno-commercial proposals and understand ROI/payback calculations for energy-saving solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational issues and propose effective engineering solutions.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively within the UAE (4–5 days a week) for client visits and on-site support.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Other Skills: Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
