Corporate Secretary jobs in United Arab Emirates

Our client, a well-established global investment management firm, is currently looking to hire a Company Secretary to join their Abu Dhabi office and become an integral member of their international legal team. The firm invests across multiple jurisdictions through various strategies. To date, they have been very successful, and this is expected to continue as they grow in AUM and headcount.

As the Company Secretary, you will work closely with the firm's General Counsel, providing advice and guidance to the Board of Directors and CEO on governance matters to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices.

1. Provide legal, strategic, and governance advice to senior management and board members.
2. Lead strategic negotiations and draft all governance documents.
3. Supervise the integrity of the company structure, ensuring all acquisitions are carried out in accordance with procedures.
4. Provide Co-sec support for board meetings.
5. Regularly review the governance framework.
6. Ensure corporate and regulatory compliance for the firm.

• Experience as a Company Secretary or in a similar role within a global investment organization.
• Familiarity with UAE company governing laws.
• Knowledge of up-to-date regulatory and legal laws.
• Knowledge of multiple investment products and strategies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.
