Reporting to the Hermès Perfume & Beauty Middle East, India and Africa Managing Director and working closely with the Headquarters Operations teams based in France, your role as Business & Operations Manager Middle East, India and Africa is to oversee all key aspects of Operations for the regional business. You will actively contribute to the construction and deployment of the regional operational strategy by monitoring forecasts, product availability management, business tracking, and budget preparation.
This is a permanent contract, based in Dubai at our Middle East, India and Africa Regional office.
As a true Business Partner, you will evolve within a dynamic and growing area, comprising more than 52 local markets, 23 agents, and 26 Travel Retail operators.
You will have daily interactions with the Middle East, India and Africa Regional and COP (UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait Business Unit) operational teams: Commercial, Retail, Marketing, Finance, Training, etc.
Additionally, you will collaborate with Central Operations/Supply Chain departments based in France: Operations, Planning, Client Services, Information Systems.
Core Responsibilities:
- Operations
- Lead forecast process with the Commercial Team, including building accurate forecasts for new product launches, promotional, and one-shot items, through preparation, market forecast challenges, consolidation, review, and submission to HQ.
- Monitor actual orders versus forecasts for saleable and POSM items.
- Ensure convergence with HQ by maintaining data accuracy, preparing H-Track files, sharing demand estimates, tracking forecast gaps, and defending MEIA needs.
- Follow market demand on catalogue items and in DSCP tool.
- Maintain good communication between HQ and the local team, sharing key signals to supply to prevent stockouts.
- Create and update FMF files regularly.
- Convey product information to optimize sales and avoid disruptions, including updates on product availability and changes.
- Support Commercial team with quota management, availability, and stock transfers.
- Lead monthly Pack-H meetings with sales teams to review business data and concerns.
- Ensure accurate follow-up on new launches, including order checks, consumption monitoring, and communication of SKU changes.
- Budget Preparation
- Build turnover and POSM budgets per client, aligned with regional turnover.
- Ensure budget files are easily consolidated with finance files.
- Ad hoc Projects
- Enhance Power BI dashboards for forecasting and POSM tracking, and propose new dashboards.
- Drive process improvements to support business growth, including better integration with finance for streamlined consolidation.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in finance and operations fields.
Knowledge / Skills:
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with rigor.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; VBA skills are a plus; Power BI is highly recommended.
