General Overview
We are hiring an experienced Investment Operations Manager for our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector. The role is responsible for ensuring effective oversight and governance of fund administration, custodial services, and investment operations in full compliance with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between internal teams, fund managers, custodians, and external service providers to ensure smooth operations, accurate reporting, and strong governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily investment operations, including fund administration and custodian activities, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Review and monitor NAV calculations, reconciliations, and reports submitted by fund administrators.
- Implement and maintain governance frameworks for investment operations to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for fund managers, custodians, administrators, and other external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal functions such as Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Legal to support investment-related activities and resolve operational issues.
- Prepare and review regulatory reports to ensure accuracy and timely submission to relevant authorities.
- Identify operational risks, implement internal controls, and enhance processes to minimize exposure.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections related to investment operations.
- Lead efficiency, automation, and process‑improvement initiatives to strengthen operational governance and reduce risk.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or equivalent are preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in investment operations, fund administration, or asset management.
- Strong knowledge of regional regulatory requirements governing investment entities.
- Solid expertise in fund accounting, NAV oversight, reconciliation processes, and custodial operations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in investment systems and MS Office; experience with automation or workflow enhancement tools is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Demonstrated risk awareness and ability to implement operational controls.
