The Division of Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi is searching for rising scholars to conduct important research and teach the next generation of global leaders. You are invited to apply for a tenure-track position in the Control systems and intelligent decision-making within the Electrical Engineering (EE) program. Emphasis will be given to: a) Machine and Reinforcement Learning on Robotics and Control Systems and b) Autonomous Systems. The available opening is at the Assistant Professor rank. The EE program has invested in robotics and there are exceptional facilities in aerial/ground and submersible agents, haptics, brain machine interface(s), vision and autonomous systems including its 1000m3 motion capture arena. The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) will play a pivotal role in the applications-oriented side of this position. Faculty in NYUAD’s EE have close collaboration with their colleagues at NYU’s ECE and CSE departments. NYUNY is well known globally for its research in Communications, Robotics and Control, and Machine Learning. NYUAD’s Global PhD student fellowship program assists in tightening this collaboration and sharing of knowledge and expertise.

The core research infrastructure includes a range of instruments for robotics, water research, imaging, 3D-printing and fabrication.
