Job summary
A prominent mining company is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Foreman based in Gauteng. You will oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring optimal performance and safety on site. Ideal candidates will have 5 years of experience in a plant environment, knowledge of MV Switchgears and VSD drives, and hold a relevant Trade Test Certificate. This role offers a negotiable salary and benefits including paid time off.
Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in a plant environment.
- Experience on MV Switchgears.
- Extensive knowledge of VSD drives.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the electrical and instrumentation team.
- Implement and maintain safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of systems.
- Prepare and oversee maintenance budgets.
- Collaborate with other departments for operational efficiency.
- Train and develop team members.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

- Supervise and manage the electrical and instrumentation team, ensuring maintenance schedules are met.
- Implement and maintain safety standards and regulations in alignment with company policies.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Prepare and oversee budgets related to electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operational efficiency.
- Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records and reports regarding maintenance activities.
- Grade 12
- Relevant Trade Test Certificate
- 5 years’ experience in a plant environment
- Experience on MV Switchgears.
