Overview

Sub-Assembly Foreman. Are you a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a passion for production and operations? Our client in the electrical industry is looking for a vibrant person to join their dynamic team. In this critical role, you will help drive efficient production processes, manage resources effectively, and ensure strict compliance with administrative and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Production Execution: Ensure timely completion of the sub-assembly production plan, including components and meters. Receive and execute production priority plans and work orders.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy across all components. Oversee adherence to inspection procedures by quality inspectors and operators.
  • Material Handling: Manage receipt and correct handling of raw materials from the Stores department. Ensure proper usage and traceability of shop orders and materials.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of operators, assemblers, and material handlers. Monitor equipment setup accuracy and machine utilization.
  • Performance & Safety: Promote strong employee performance and workplace morale. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards for staff and machinery.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate documentation for resources, attendance, and production activities. Compile regular reports and ensure administrative compliance.
  • Cost Management: Monitor operations to stay within budgetary limits. Enforce KANBAN stock levels and promote cost-effective practices.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
  • Qualified Artisan (essential)
  • National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Production Management / Industrial Engineering / Operations Management (advantageous)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role within a manufacturing environment
