Job summary

A leading poultry producer in Durban seeks a candidate for their Cleanout department. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving departmental targets and ensuring compliance with biosecurity rules. They must possess a matric certificate and have a minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in the poultry environment. Additionally, the role requires the ability to perform hygiene sampling and work irregular hours, including overtime and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or similar position within the poultry environment.
• Valid driver's license - code 10.
• Ability to work irregular times, including overtime and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets for the Cleanout department.
• Ensure compliance with biosecurity rules and procedures.
• Set up cleaning schedules.
• Plan and remove litter on the farms according to company procedures.
• Implement and understand the 20 Keys programme.

Job description

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

• Daily, weekly and monthly targets for the Cleanout department
• Making sure that biosecurity rules and procedures are followed
• Setting up cleaning schedules
• Planning and removal of litter on the farms as per the company procedures.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance
• Supervising and motivating staff which includes staff discipline and time management
• Implementing and understanding the 20 Keys programme (better, cheaper, faster)

The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Following Requirements

• Must have your matric
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a supervisory or similar position within the Poultry environment.
• Must be able to perform hygiene sampling on farms as per the SOP.
• Must have a valid driver’s license - code 10
• Must be able to work irregular times ie overtime and public holidays
