Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to work on a contract basis in Noordwes, South Africa. Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Mechanical Designer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Warrington.
- Provide support and technical guidance for a team of multi-disciplined designers.
- Ensure the quality of output to the required standards, consistent with the full lifecycle from concept to in-service support.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of engineering and design practices relevant to the discipline.
- Demonstrate appropriate CAD skills and effective written and verbal communications.
- Apply specialist knowledge and substantial experience in a design subject area.
- HNC/HND minimum in a relevant discipline or equivalent academic qualification.
- Experience in a detailed design environment.
- Good knowledge of CAD tools.
- Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.
- Incorporated Engineer status.
- ICF (Integrated Competency Framework) demonstrated or being worked towards.
- Demonstrable experience in technical leadership of a multi-disciplined design team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
