Overview

Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Mechanical Designer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Warrington.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and technical guidance for a team of multi-disciplined designers.
• Ensure the quality of output to the required standards, consistent with the full lifecycle from concept to in-service support.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of engineering and design practices relevant to the discipline.
• Demonstrate appropriate CAD skills and effective written and verbal communications.
• Apply specialist knowledge and substantial experience in a design subject area.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND minimum in a relevant discipline or equivalent academic qualification.
• Experience in a detailed design environment.
• Good knowledge of CAD tools.
• Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.
• Incorporated Engineer status.
• ICF (Integrated Competency Framework) demonstrated or being worked towards.
• Demonstrable experience in technical leadership of a multi-disciplined design team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
