Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Application Developer based in Plattekloof, Cape Town. The candidate will develop scalable software solutions and maintain system documentation. Applicants should have a National Diploma in IT and at least 3 years of software development experience. This role requires hands-on experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and effective collaboration within a project team. A driver’s license and own transport are essential. Note that this is an office-based position.
Qualifications
- Approximately 3 years of experience in a software development role.
- Hands-on experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Responsibilities
- Analyse, design, and develop scalable, maintainable software solutions.
- Interpret and understand complex system functionality and data structures.
- Build, test, and debug applications and integrate subsystems effectively.
- Maintain system documentation and create user guides and technical specifications.
- Provide user support and training when required.
- Collaborate effectively within a project team.
- Participate in quality code reviews and continuous improvement processes.

Our client. a market leader in the IT industry, is currently looking to employ a Senior Application Developer, based in Plattekloof, Cape Town.
- National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, or relevant certifications (preferred).
- Matric certificate (required).
- ±3 years of experience in a software development role.
- Exposure to SQL, PL/SQL, and .NET considered advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Hands-on experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
