Job summary
A local hotel in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie for its cold kitchen department. The successful candidate will assist the Head and Sous Chef in maintaining the high standards of food preparation and quality in a busy hotel kitchen. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar 4- or 5-star environment, along with Grade 12 certification and good command of English. Flexibility in working hours and the ability to perform under pressure are essential.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certification required.
- 3+ years’ experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
- High standard of spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Support Head and Sous Chef in busy hotel kitchen.
- Ensure high-quality food preparation.
- Control kitchen stock and purchasing.

Country Inn / Hotel close to Mkuze is looking for a Chef de Partie (Cold Kitchen) to efficiently provide support to the Head and Sous Chef and ensure high-quality operation of a busy hotel kitchen.
Consistency in food preparation, strict adherence to hygiene standards and effective control of kitchen stock and purchasing.
- Grade 12
- Must have 3+ years’ experience of working in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
- Relative certification or qualification in kitchen or food production will be advantageous.
- Must have a high standard of spoken and written English.
- Flexible working hours subject to the demands of the business.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Excellent culinary catering talent.
