Job summary
A leading business solutions company in Cape Town is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and a strong background in project management and team leadership. This position requires technical expertise and the ability to mentor personnel while managing supplier relations. Preferred qualifications include a Tertiary Qualification in Maintenance Management and experience in the hospitality sector.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience in project management or supervisory roles.
- Hospitality sector experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Mentor personnel and manage supplier relationships.
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ensure compliance with architectural drawings and OHAS regulations.
Skills
Education
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate essential.
- Tertiary Qualification in Maintenance Management not essential but preferred
- Project Management Qualification (preferred)
- OHAS Qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience in the same or similar position
- Project Management or Supervisory experience (essential)
- Previous experience in hospitality sector (advantageous)
- Demonstrated ability mentor personnel and manage supplier relationships
- Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant field including experience in projects and maintenance
- Site and facilities experience preferred and experience in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team
- A sound knowledge of architectural drawings and layouts, OHAS and related acts/regulations will be very advantageous
