This is a key leadership role responsible for building robust data pipelines, shaping our data architecture, and ensuring the business has reliable, high-quality data to support operational, analytical, and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership ability, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about enabling data-driven transformation.
- Lead the development, maintenance, and optimisation of data pipelines, workflows, and integrations across multiple systems.
- Design and implement scalable data architectures to support reporting, analytics, automation, and operational insights.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, and performance.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the data platform and accelerate delivery.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and integrity across all systems and processes.
- Mathematics/Science/Commerce/IT Degree (NQF Level 7), or equivalent, if substantiated by valid evidence of competency.
- 3 - 5 years’ relevant data analysis experience in a professional working environment.
