Senior Finance Manager
Job summary
A leading finance organization in South Africa, Gauteng, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will manage a team and ensure strong internal controls while liaising with executive members. The ideal applicant must be a qualified CA(SA) with at least 7 years of experience and possess excellent IFRS knowledge. This position offers a dynamic work environment focused on strategic financial management.
Qualifications
- Qualified CA(SA) or CTA with articles.
- Minimum 7 years of post-article and post-audit experience.
- IFRS technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly reports and analysis.
- Presenting reports to executive members.
- Group reporting and regulatory reporting.
- Income tax and VAT submissions.
- Internal controls management.
- Preparing budgets and forecasts.

- Preparing monthly reports and analysis.
- Presenting reports to executive members.

- Regulatory reporting for the Group.

- Understanding the risks affecting the distribution channels and assisting with the implementation of appropriate systems to mitigate those risks.
- Preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Monthly processing / reviewing trial balances.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reviewing daily payments and detailed analysis of supporting schedules.
- Ad-hoc reports and tasks, e.g., involvement in IFRS17 implementation.
- Preparing annual financial statements and notes, including accounting policies.
- Liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Business partner for distribution channels.
- Internal and external stakeholder management.
