About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to assess and enhance our client’s infrastructure and CI / CD pipelines, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

You will play a key role in automating deployments, managing infrastructure as code, improving observability, and mentoring junior team members.

This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about cloud automation, containerization, and building scalable, resilient systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Automation
  • Assess and optimize current pipeline and infrastructure setups.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines using AWS-native services (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, ECR).
  • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes for cloud-native workloads.
  • Develop and deploy serverless (AWS Lambda) and containerized workloads (ECS / Fargate).
• Observability & Performance
  • Enhance system observability and monitoring using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and the ELK stack.
  • Work within a microservices architecture (Aurora / Postgres backend, ECS containers).
  • Implement best practices for logging, alerting, and metrics collection to ensure high reliability.
• Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in DevOps and cloud best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, QA engineers, and system architects to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across teams and projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills :

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Fargate, RDS / Aurora, ECR, IAM, and VPC.
• Proficient with Docker and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Skilled in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Solid experience building CI / CD pipelines and automating cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, ELK, X-Ray).
• Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases.

Highly Desirable Skills :

• Prior experience in microservices architectures and serverless workloads.
• Knowledge of performance optimization, fault tolerance, and scalability best practices.
• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree, higher certificate, or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
