Job summary
A leading financial services company in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Head for their Debtors Department. The ideal candidate will manage personnel, approve daily financial transactions, and handle debt collection effectively. Applicants should have at least 6 years of debt collection experience and relevant educational qualifications. This full-time role offers a market-related salary.
Qualifications
- 6 years of experience in debt collection is essential.
- Strong management skills and ability to handle financial transactions.
- Experience in preparing month-end reports.
Responsibilities
- Manage personnel within the Debtors Department.
- Approve transactions such as journals and cash on a daily basis.
- Control and manage aging analysis of debtors accounts.

DescriptionWe are looking for a highly driven and experienced Head to join our Debtors Department.
- Manage personnel within the division
- Approval of transactions e.g. journals and cash focus on a daily basis
- Process journals against ex-representatives accounts
- Control and manage age analyse of the debtors accounts
- Compile month-end reports
- Submit change request for system enhancements when required
- Resolve queries from ex-representatives and managers and ensure feedback is given timeously
- To minimize debit and credit balances regarding ex-representatives accounts
- Training subordinates when necessary
- Draft recommendations for bad debt write-offs to be approved as per the Delegations of Authority
- Attend to ad hoc request from the Shared Service Accountant and management
- Grade 12
- Accounting diploma will be an advantage
- 6 years debt collection experience
