We are a well-established property management company with a growing portfolio of residential and
commercial properties. With over 400 buildings under management in the UK, we pride ourselves on
delivering high-quality service to our clients. Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for a Senior
Service Charge Accountant to join our remote finance team in South Africa, supporting our UK-based operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong property accounting experience who is eager to apply their expertise in an international setting. You will work closely with a team of Account Managers, Credit Controllers, Accounts Administrators, and Property Managers, reporting directly to the Head of Service Charge Accounts.

Responsibilities:
• Preparation of accruals and prepayments
• Trial balance preparation
• Compilation of annual leasehold and company accounts in compliance with ACCA and ICAEW
standards
• Coordination with external accountants and auditors
• Regular communication with clients and property management teams
• Year-end reconciliation of service charge accounts
• Bank account reconciliation
• Issuing Service Charge and Ground Rent demands
• Working with Accounts Payable/Receivable to manage supplier invoices and payments
• Assisting the Credit Controller with arrears collection
• Preparing draft budgets, including long-term financial planning
• Processing supplier invoices efficiently and accurately

Requirements:
• A degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional qualification (SAICA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in property accounting
• Strong understanding of property accounting principles and service charge management
• Excellent communication and technical skills
• Proficiency in property accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an international team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
