Job Title: Junior Accountant - Hospitality Industry

We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Perform daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
• Monitor revenue streams, expenses, and ensure accurate reporting aligned with hospitality operations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather financial data and provide support on financial queries.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal controls.
• Support audits and assist in preparing audit schedules.
• Continuously suggest process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel; knowledge of hospitality accounting software (e.g., Opera PMS, SunSystems, or similar) is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
