Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and oversee comprehensive, high-level marketing strategies for pharmaceutical products, including brand planning and strategic development.
  2. Advanced Market Research: Lead in-depth market analysis to identify trends and competitive dynamics, converting data into actionable insights to drive strategic business decisions.
  3. Executive Sales Management: Formulate and implement advanced sales strategies to achieve organizational objectives. Monitor and evaluate sales performance, providing strategic guidance to sales leaders to ensure targets are met.
  4. Effective Communication: Establish and maintain robust communication systems between marketing and sales teams to ensure strategic alignment and collaboration.
  5. Financial Oversight: Develop and manage long-term budgets, monitor financial progress, and evaluate performance to ensure organizational financial objectives are met.
  6. Performance Evaluation: Conduct high-level performance appraisals of marketing and sales leaders, providing strategic feedback and guidance for continuous improvement.
  7. Leadership Development: Champion training and development initiatives for marketing and sales teams to enhance leadership skills and overall performance.
  8. Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  9. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams. Ensure stakeholder needs and expectations are met through effective communication and collaboration.
  10. Project KPI Achievement: Define, monitor, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for high-impact projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Implement corrective actions when necessary to meet project goals.
  11. Business Development: Drive business development efforts by securing new projects for IQVIA-managed teams, particularly from companies divesting their brands or exiting the South African market. These activities will be relevant to multiple projects across various countries in Africa.
  12. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior management colleagues in medical, finance, sales, and marketing to achieve overarching business objectives.
Qualifications:
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  2. Proven Experience: Extensive experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing management at an executive level, with a proven track record of success in Africa.
  3. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and executive team management capabilities.
  4. Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  5. Communication Skills: Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Collaborative Approach: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional executive teams.
  7. Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, financial oversight, and performance evaluation.
