Job summary
A healthcare facility located in Paarl is seeking a dedicated nurse to deliver safe and comprehensive nursing care. Applicants should hold a degree or diploma in general nursing, with preference given to those with additional qualifications in midwifery or relevant specialty areas. Responsibilities include patient care, collaboration with a multi-professional team, and maintaining accurate nursing records. Basic Life Support training is required.
Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in General Nursing required.
- 1 year post-graduate qualification experience desired for specialized unit.
- Basic Life Support training required (ACLS, ATLS, PALS).

Main Purpose of Job
To deliver safe comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice.

- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
- Identify prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
- Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
- Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
- Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.
Required Education
ESSENTIAL: Degree / Diploma in General Nursing.
DESIRED: Midwifery; Postgraduate certificate/diploma in relevant specialty area.
Required Experience
ESSENTIAL: None.
DESIRED: 1 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit.
