Job summary
A transportation company in Wes-Kaap, South Africa is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to repair trailer bodies and assist with maintenance on a fleet of over 150 trailers. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in trailer repair, a Code 8 Driver's License, and a strong work ethic. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team focused on transporting refrigerated goods safely over long distances.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in trailer repair and maintenance.
- Qualification in airbrakes, BPW axles and suspension advantageous.
- Willingness to travel for breakdown assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assess, repair, and rebuild trailer chassis.
- Assist with routine preventative maintenance for trucks and trailers.
- Support other areas of the workshop as needed.

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing trailer bodies, assisting in preventative maintenance of a fleet of 150 plus trailers, and supporting other areas of the workshop as needed.
- Skilled in assessing, repairing, and rebuilding trailer chassis
- Proficient in trailer mechanical repairs, electrical wiring, airbrake troubleshooting, and brake system maintenance
- Assist with routine preventative maintenance for trucks and trailers
- Expertise in fibreglass body repairs advantageous
- Experience in welding techniques advantageous
- 3-5 Years experience in trailer repair and maintenance
- Qualification in airbrakes, BPW axles and suspension advantageous
- Code 8 Driver's License
- Willingness to travel for breakdown assistance
