The successful candidate will be responsible for all sales activities in the Eastern Cape region for the forklift, construction, mining, and agriculture industries. The candidate should be able to operate under pressure and have a proven track record.

• Present and sell new and used diesel & electrical forklifts, trucks, and related products and services to current and potential clients.
• Plan and execute the short-term rental fleet.
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activities.
• Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
• Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
• Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
• Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.
• Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
• Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-ups.
• Identify and resolve client concerns.
• Prepare various status reports, including activity, closings, follow-ups, and goal adherence.
• Communicate new products, service opportunities, and feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate staff.
• Coordinate company staff to accomplish sales objectives.
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
• Follow up for collection of payments.

• Matric and relevant post-matric qualification.
• Experience and knowledge in the Lift Trucks / Forklift Industry.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in external sales and managing a short-term rental fleet.
• Technical knowledge of diesel and electrical forklifts.
• Basic financial knowledge.
• Knowledge of Autoline and CRM systems is an advantage.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Proven ability in cold calling and closing sales.
• Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
