Job summary
A sustainable agriculture company is seeking a full-time Ellepot Technician in Johannesburg. This role involves delivering technical support, training customers on Ellepot systems, and ensuring excellent after-sales service. Candidates should have a diploma in engineering and strong mechanical knowledge, alongside a willingness to travel across Africa for client interactions. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable forestry and agricultural practices in Southern Africa.
Qualifications
- N6 or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
- Exposure to PLC systems, preferably Siemens.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain Ellepot machines and nursery automation equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
- Perform preventative maintenance and client training.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support.
- Travel extensively to client sites across Africa.
