LawNet Technology Services (LTS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), a promotion and development agency for Singapore’s legal industry. LTS is the technology company behind LawNet, a one-stop law practice portal providing a complete suite of information and transactional solutions for the Singapore and global legal community.

Reporting Structure

Report to Deputy Director, Technology Delivery of LTS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of software applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, business, marketing) to define product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting appropriate technologies, frameworks, testing, documentation, tools, and design models.
• Champion a culture of high-quality code through code reviews, test automation, and sharing best practices.
• Guide operations, development and infrastructure teams to triage and resolve support tickets promptly, and to plan for relevant enhancements.
• Mentor and lead the development team, including conducting technical interviews, performance reviews, and developing training plans.
• Manage and prioritize the backlog of development tasks and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ hands-on experience with web application design, development and support.
• 3-5 years’ experience of leading local/remote/vendor teams.
• Good understanding of both SQL and NoSQL (document, key-value) databases.
• Familiarity with development best practices, including source control, code review, pair programming, CI/CD toolchain and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch and others.
• Proficiency in coding languages (Java preferred), RESTful APIs and React.
• Demonstrable experience with cloud architecture and OAUTH2/OIDC-based Identity & Access Management systems.
