Tasks and Responsibilities

• To supervise activities such as site & store management, lifting of beams, columns and trusses, work at height, installing purlins, roofing, & claddings and application of fireproofing materials.

• Check structural steel alignment, level, plumb and correctness. Supervise installation and grouting works for load bearing plates.

• To monitor site progress and assist Project Manager on structural erection works according to the approved drawings, resolve all site issues, and ensure timely completion of the project.

• Practice look-ahead planning and manage critical activities for materials, manpower, equipment, and permits.

• Ensure that all Site Safety, WSH and NEA requirements are strictly adhered to.

• Carry out regular site checks and ensure compliance on quality requirements and that all works are carried out according to approved drawings.

• Basic understanding of local requirements to comply with Industrial best practices for erection of steel structures. Able to develop inspection checklist.

• Able to interpret the drawings on works to be carried, with understanding of steel structural detailing.

• Support the site team to ensure proper site documentation for on-going works, site meetings, safety records, shop drawings, as built submissions, etc. are well managed.

• Experienced in full-time site supervision. Minimum 5 years work experience, with knowledge in construction/erection of steel structures, workshops, or warehouses.

• Familiar with local authority’s regulations, including BCA, MOM, WSH, Lifting and NEA requirements.

• WSH certification for supervisory position or lifting supervision will be an added advantageous.

• Knowledge of Excel spreadsheet and Microsoft applications will be added advantageous.

• ITE Trade Cert or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.

• Qualified Steelwork Supervisor, registered with the Singapore Structural Steel Society.
