In the event of unplanned employee absences, the Supervisor must seek temporary resources from other production sections to make good the manpower shortfall. If this is not possible, the Supervisor must review the production schedule for the day, and re-prioritise the manufacturing operations as necessary to meet delivery commitments. The Production Manager should be promptly informed of any changes to work scheduling for the day, including any actions taken to prevent production delays. The Production Supervisor is also required to inform the Sales Team of any changes to the production delivery date while keeping the Production Manager informed.
  • Update HR Department on status of any late reporting or absenteeism by employees.

Such improvement opportunities should be highlighted to the Production Engineer and Production Manager, and work collaboratively with relevant colleagues to implement improvement plans.
  • Productivity of staff by monitoring and analysing the Production timesheets.
  • Any quality and production issues which should be promptly reported to the Production Manager or Sales team (if required) for awareness and follow-up actions.
