About the Role

The Logistics / Tooling Assistant supports production operations by ensuring tools, equipment, and consumables are properly managed, maintained, and available when needed. This role is responsible for tool room operations, logistics support, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool & Equipment Management

  • Operate and maintain the Tool Management System (TMS) for tracking, issuance, and return of tools.

  • Coordinate machine service and repair schedules with vendors or internal maintenance teams.

  • Monitor and verify calibration due dates for lifting and measuring equipment, escalating when re-certification is required.

  • Ensure all tools remain in good working condition, arranging repair or replacement as necessary.

  • Tool Room Operations

  • Maintain an organized and efficient tool store front counter, ensuring timely issuance and return of tools.

  • Monitor consumables and expendables and ensure timely replenishment.

  • Enforce 5S initiatives and maintain proper housekeeping in the tool room to meet workplace safety and efficiency standards.

  • Logistics & Administration

  • Assist in the preparation of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for tools, consumables, and spare parts.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

Required Experience

  • NITEC in Engineering with minimum 2 years of toolroom experience.

  • Basic understanding of machining processes such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.

  • Familiarity with machine capabilities, including CNC machines, lathes, milling, and grinding equipment.
