We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Officer(Bookshop) to ensure the smooth operation of our bookshop. As the support team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the bookshop, including inventory management, customer service, staff supervision, and sales performance. JOB DESCRIPTION
Managing the physical store
Manage the store daily operations including opening and closing of the store.
Ensure the operation is compliance with SOP.
Engage with customers and provide information and recommendation.
Operate the cash register accurately for sales payment, courses fees, zakat and donation payment.
Ensure the cleanliness of the store and merchandise are well-displayed.
Liaise with internal department accordingly for updates on courses, fees, etc.
When there is a direct sale, issue invoice and monitor payment to be recorded
Ensure preparation of roster and honorarium for part timers & proper handover
Ensure adherence to all Financial procedures (i.e; Inter-Department Transfer, Purchase Requisition etc)
Ensure inventory is adequate for all distribution channels (physical and online bookstore) and can cover direct demand from customers
Online store
Assist to ensure orders are being attended to and updated daily
Ensure orders are being mailed out on time
Manage inventory level including mailers
Ensure orders are recorded in SAP
Social Media, events and promotions
Handle Instagram postings for events, promotions, and interactions
Ensure Instagram messages are being attended to within 24 hours
Ensure Instagram postings and contents are in compliance with SOP
Monitor Instagram insights to analyse on statistics
Schedule manpower for events
Prepare monthly book reviews to be submitted to Corporate Affairs (CA) for eDM
Others
Any Other Ad-hoc Matters As Assigned By HOD and/or management
Assist other staff as assigned by HOD and/or management.
Undertake MCAS event project/activities as assigned by the management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma in any related studies.
Knowledge of SAP Business One (Preferred).
Experience in retail or in marketing (Preferred).
Strong interest and knowledge on book titles and trend.
Possess entrepreneurial principles and practices.
Experience in visual merchandising and presentation.
Possess excellent customer service delivery and engagement.
Able to work independently as well as in a team.
